Arrival and Check In

Upon your arrival in Linz (please check the railway timetables here) members of IAESTE Linz will welcome you at the railway station and guide you to the main square where the street art festival takes place (there will be a place to leave the luggage). At 18:00 we will meet at the "Pestsäule". IAESTE-members will guide you to the youth hostel where registration and check in take place.

Street Art Festival - Pflasterspektakel

You will see one of Europe's biggest street art festivals this weekend. The 21st Linzer Pflasterspektakel will be the stage of more than 500 performers from over 40 different countries and every continent all around the city center.

This spectacle attracts virtuosos of arts such as jugglers, acrobats, clowns and fills the streets with music of all genres. You will walk through Old Town and experience the spirit of Linz, e.g. when admiring artists in the inner courtyards with their special atmosphere. Samba Music, late night fire shows and much more included.

As not all of you will arrive in Linz at the same time, there will be a meeting point every full hour at the main square (Pestsäule).

Linz City Night Life

If you still want more after all those spectacles - nightlife in the city's bars, pubs and discotheques will be waiting for us!

Linz City Rallye

After a few hours of sleep and a coffee making you wake up again, you will be ready for our Linz City Rallye.

In groups of a few people you will find your way through the city, get in contact with real Austrians, perform acrobatic exercises, answer atonishingly hard questions and, above all, have a lot of fun!

The best group will be awarded with nice prices at the barbecue party in the evening!

Danube Park Picnic

The danube park is where the city rallye ends and our picnic starts. Promised, you will be hungry by then! Food and drinks are included.

Leisure Time in Linz

It's up to you! Design your own afternoon, return to the Pflasterspektakel, regenerate, go shopping or swimming.

International Barbecue Party

Whether you love meat or prefer salad. There will be a lot of food for you at the International Barbecue Party. All food is included in the fee and you can buy drinks for a fair price.

We will leave together to the party by tram from the main square at 18:30.

Pöstlingberg

Good morning! What about a little tour up the landmark mountain of Linz? In case you are still tired - don't worry!

Normally Europe's steepest tram which will carry us up to the "peak"... This year we're going by bus, but the views over the city will be as astonishing as every time!

Lunch

Back in downtown we will stock up on some energy with traditional Austrian food. Again, the food is included and drinks can be bought there as well.

Good Bye Linz

After lunch you could stay a few more hours in the city or, if you have to leave, you can head to the railway station.
